Welcome to Solus Forest.

In my paintings, I create whimsical landscapes imbued with a quiet, dark allure. These are my otherworldly sanctuaries where I can escape and be alone. I invite you to find peace in them too.

I enjoy the freedom of playing with unconventional colors and embracing spontaneity in my creative process. Starting with minimal planning, each stroke guides me, creating a soothing and therapeutic dance. I like to pause at each layer to the scene and decide what comes next. As in nature, there are no rigid rules; shapes and forms unfold organically. 

​

My inspiration stems from a deep appreciation for the enchanting natural wonders of our Earth. Always seeking breathtaking forest or mountain landscapes during my travels, I strive to capture that same sense of awe in my art. I believe our Earth holds a quiet magic, and Solus Forest is my celebration of it.

Art has been my companion since childhood. Encouraged to draw and experiment early on, I found my voice as a painter during my teenage years, guided by mentors who helped me refine my skills. Over the years, my landscapes evolved into the reflective, surreal creations you see today.

Although I ventured into different paths through the years, the void without art in my life was undeniable. I have come to realize It is not really a choice for me to create art, it is an intrinsic part of who I am. Without it, my way of communicating my authentic self is missing. Now, with gratitude, I continue to share my truest expressions with you.

Based in Asheville, NC, I am surrounded by the beauty of lush mountain forests and a vibrant artistic community. When not painting, you will find me hiking and playing in creeks with my precious cattle dogs.
